What is your position within the company and what would you say a normal day at work consists of?

My position is an underwriter. My day-to-day duties include managing the loan application process from inception to drawdown, applying an assessment and due diligence process.

How did you get started in this area of work? How did you become involved with Ascot?

I began my career in finance working for Barclays, working in a variety of areas, eventually choosing to specialise in property which I’ve been doing for over 15years, gaining my Cemap qualifications in the process. Ascot have always had a great name in the industry and are well known for their attention to detail and customer focus, so when an opportunity came up, I jumped at the chance.

What aspects of your job do you enjoy the most?

The variety, no 2 days are the same, I enjoy interacting with different clients, with different backgrounds and their aspirations, whilst also knowing we can help them achieve their goals.
