What is your position within the company and what would you say a normal day at work consists of?

My position within the company is an underwriter. A normal day for me consists of managing the cases from application to completion and keeping the borrower / broker up to date. I also will instruct solicitors and valuations and gather and review all the documents we require for underwriting.

How did you get started in this area of work? How did you become involved with Ascot?

I started in this industry by case managing residential mortgages and just wanted a change which led me to my first bridging role about 3 years ago. I became involved with Ascot due to having heard such positive things in both my mortgage and bridging career to date which led me to apply for the role and I really love the values of the company regarding charity work which I cant wait to get involved in!

What aspects of your job do you enjoy the most?

Every day is different, and I am faced with new challenges every day. I love seeing a case fist come in at application stage and then seeing that case progress through to redemption and seeing all the hard work that has gone into the property.

What do you enjoy to do outside of work?

I most enjoy going out with my friends and spending as much time as I can with my family. I also enjoy riding and looking after my horse!
